Guinea pig and Rabbits homes ( enclosures )

Guinea pig and rabbits enclosures can vary depending on indoor or outdoor , but they are rather similar. Both requires enough space for the number of animal housed in. Normally an enclosure for 2 to 3 individuals needs to be around 175×70 cm in size and it should be on single level. The space needs to have places where they can hide, a place for hay , water and other food and room to roam and do their normal habits like popcorning ( jumping up and down ). It doesn’t matter if indoor or outdoor the enclosure need to be raised. Indoor ones needs to be draft and damp free. It cannot be placed in direct sunlight and the room must be aired daily. The outdoor enclosures must be protected from wind, rain and direct sunlight.

Bedding should be secure and cozy. Materials used must be dust free , absorbent and safe to eat. Must be solid , so their feet doesn’t gets trapped. Bedding should be deep enough to keep them warm.

Water should be available constantly and can be in specific water bottles or in trays , depending on how your pet prefers to drink but we recommend drip bottles.

Both indoor and outdoor need to be cleaned regularly to avoid your pet to get sick from urine dampness and soiled bedding.

Having the proper environment for your pets will create a healthy, stimulating and comfortable home and will reduce their stress.
